Started work on project, Reed Creek watershed. Test 3 next week.

Required Anaysis for Reed Creek Watershed:
Determine percentages of landuse within 300 feet of streams
Determine the percentage of impervious surfaces
Determine total length of roads in the watershed (feet and miles)

Learned how to join and relate tables together. Also review of queries and quiz on queries.

A Map showing counties between Denver and Pierre with greater than 10,000 in population created using Queries.

Chapter 5 2/7/07

A map showing the percent of Hispanics by state. Using tables of data to create maps.

Chapter 4 1/31/07

Map from in class work and map from Chapter 4 example. Book is hard to follow at times. Think that it is better to follow as a class with

the projector.

Chapter 9

This is the exercise from chapter 9 as well as some playing around with the City of Asheville Data, created map showing streams and bodies of water near my home.

First Entry

This is the first entry for GIS 111 Blog and represents the first assignment. First night of class, starting to get tired! Many new things, lots of terms to get confused. All and all not too bad, pretty easy to follow book. Must remember flash drive for next time.
